Strawberry Jam Bars

Ingredients:
- ½ c butter, softened
- ½ c packed brown sugar
- 1 egg

- 1 package (18¼ oz) white or yellow cake mix
- 1 c finely crushed cornflakes
- 1 c Greaves Strawberry Jam (or your favourite Greaves Jam)

Directions:
- In a large bowl, cream butter & brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, mix well.
- Gradually add dry cake mix and cornflakes.
- Reserve 1½ c of mix for topping, press remaining dough into a greased 13"x9" baking dish.
- Carefully spread jam over base. Sprinkly reserved dough over jam. Gently press down.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely on a wire rack. Cut into 24 bars.
Makes 2 dozen squares
